The company where I once worked for had a term Life Insurance Policy with Protective Life Insurance Company. Now that I quit the job and came into freelancing of my own, my previous company asked if I wanted to continue the policy on my own. I went for it, however to my great surprise and horror when I contacted Protective Life Insurance to inquire about my policy continuance, they really were not having a clear answer. All calls went unanswered with promises of call back occassionally (when their customer care exec are not in usual rude and foul mood).
My observation regarding them has been the company has been overall good, but lately they suck big time in customer support. May be they outsourced the process or did a few job cuts, whatever it is, it is at the cost of we poor souls. Someone at Protective needs to get a grip on situation. I did google on the company and read similar horror stories of many people. I hope so that company is not willfully engaged in screwing the customers.
I will appreciate ya all sharing your experiences.
